PID Toolkit: Builder

Use this page to create a distributable ZIP of the PID Toolkit. Builder can:

• Generate a SHA-256 pepper from a phrase
• Package all HTML & JS files into a single ZIP, with your own Build ID and pepper.
  This can then be extracted and run offline - or on your own servers.

The build Identifier helps visually identify and differentiate different configurations, e.g. for each lab or department.
The pepper defines the PID “universe” (e.g. lab / department specific) and is stored in settings.
The passphrase / seed should remain secret and is never embedded or exported.
Both the pepper & seed are required to regenerate a PID.
